Amber Ray is an underground shapeshifting icon, drawing her character inspiration from everywhere in the universe, from the frivolous or fancy to the funny or ferocious.

A self proclaimed, (and publicly agreed upon), "Professional Sensationalist", this vixen aims to dazzle and charm your worries into submission and restore your faith and effort in grace.

Amber has been recently featured in Tease magazine, and has scattered appearences in books such as NYC SEX, Charles Gatewoods "Messy Girls", and papers and Magazines, Village Voice, the NY Press, Java, Flaunt, NY Magazine, Allspice, Carbon 14, and Marquis. She Has also been the subject of famed painter, Steven Assael, and Photographic subject for Steve Diet Goedde, Charles Gatewood, Lee Higgs, among numerous other talented Photographers, for her one-of-a-kind visual asthetics.

She has performed in many exciting events, such as Teaseorama 1 and 2, NYBF, Broadway Taboo opening party, Agent Provacatur Store opening Fashion Show, and is a regular at almost all Burlesque shows and art events, presented weekly in NYC.


Amber Ray is a mixture of several inspirators and genres all meshed into this one Variety Vixen. Ranging from Crazy Cartoon to Seductive Siren, her aim is to innoculate you with spirit through her Professional Sensationalism. From classic fan and balloon dances to balloon manipulations, toys and playful puppetry, her and her props poke and provoke your curiosity with her wealth of characters.

You can find her most often musing the masses in a wide range of scenes, clubs and events in NYC, and sometimes elsewhere. Amber Ray entertains at The Slipper Room, Vava Voom Room, Coney Island Side Show, Le Scandal, and Bombshell, as well as many unmentioned.
