Erotic Cinema

Erotic mainstream movies with sexual themes. Many of them are listed in Douglas Keesey's Erotic Cinema book and are noted as DK. All available at Netflix.

• Brown Bunny- (2003) NR One of a few movies to show actual fellatio. I found this movie to be purely emotional (depressing). Very little dialouge may bore you but the director wants us to be consumed by the emotions of the main character. The reason for the character's emotions is not revieled until the end of the movie. You will not be turned on by the blow-job scene which re-enforces the traditional view that oral sex is dirty sex. A lot of symbolism in this movie. I liked it and only fans of art-house cinema might like it too. Starring: Vincent Gallo, Chloe Sevigny
• Inside Deepthroat- (2005) NC-17 A good documentary film into the film's history. The blow-job scene is included. The film touches on the history of the sexual revolution but I would have liked to see more special features about the whole of the revolution to aid sexual revolution discoverers.
  
• Secretary- (2002) R Its so so. Bondage, sexual slavery, a little nudity.
  
• The Dreamers- (2004) NC-17 Liked it but the story could have been told without the sexual themes. The sex is an added bonus.
  
• Fellini-Satyricon- (1969) R Really liked it. A cult classic of the Roman satire.
• The Story of O- (1975) NR Won't bother seeing it again, not into non-mutual S/M. Fantasy of enslaving and tutoring submissive women into becoming objects of male fantasy without the conformist BD/SM fashion sense. A cult classic.
  
• Blow up- (1966) NR Photographers will relate on how photography forces the artist to distance himself from the subject in order to obtain the finished piece. This movie is a suspense-thriller, the photographer character unknowlingly photographs a murder and is unable to respond. This movie was controversial for its day because of drug use, casual sex and film's first full-frontal female nudity (fraction of a second). An artistic masterpiece.
  
• Maitresse- (1973) NR
• I am Curious: Blue- (1968) NR Not as good as the yellow version but important to watch if your a cinemaphile.
  
• I Am Curious: Yellow- (1967) NR See my write up on this film and screen shots. This film broke all the obscenity barriers.
  
• The Loss of Sexual Innocence- (1999) R Relax yourself with a glass of fine wine and be swept away by dialogue-free tonalist imagery. Inspiring visions of Adam and Eve. And an intimate autobiographical vignette of the director's sexual awakening. Netflix
  
• Harrad Experiment- (1973) R
• Maslin Beach- (1997) NR An honest comedy of humanity offered in vignettes of nude sunbathers. Best portrayal of social nudism in cinema.
  
• Y Tu Mama Tambien- (2001) NR
• Kids- (1995) NR Lock your kids away until adulthood. A sad but true docudrama. Children having sex! Starring the soon to be erotic groundbreaker, Chloe Sevigny.
  
• The Decameron- (1970) R
• Night Porter- (1974) R
• Romance- (1999) NR
• 9 Songs- (2004) NR An evilness beyond description. Explicit fellatio, cunnilingus, ejaculation, penetration in a mainstream movie!!! Netflix
  
• Lady Chatterley's Lover- (1981) R
• Caligula- (1980) NR
• Baise Moi- (2000) NR
• La Dolce Vita- (1961) NR
